Believe it or not, even exercise can get boring sometimes. Yes, you heard that right. I’m a Personal Trainer, and that’s my opening statement.

For a while, I found myself stuck in the same gym routine—lifting weights, chasing heavier numbers, and letting my ego drive my workouts. It became repetitive, uninspiring, and, honestly, dull. Then I discovered Hyrox.

As someone who’s always been a decent long-distance runner and relatively strong, Hyrox—the perfect blend of strength and endurance—was exactly what I needed. It reignited my passion for fitness.

In August, I took things to the next level and signed up with a Hyrox coach to help me progress and refine my training. This decision gave me a new sense of purpose. Now, every session is focused, building me stronger and fitter with the ultimate goal of becoming one of the top Hyrox athletes in the UK. It’s also shown me just how transformative working with a coach or personal trainer can be.

As of December 2024, I’ve completed four Hyrox events—three singles and one doubles—and I’m only just getting started.
